Oh I am so running behind schedule.
I have lots of photos to show, but I am basically running behind schedule. My baby is leaving town tonight and I should help him pack, but I am sitting in front of my computer, trying to catch up with my project365 and let him pack all his stuff alone. What a wonderful gf I am.

We had a BBQ today at work to celebrate Amanda's birthday. :))
This is baby Lucette. She's so adorable, isn't she? But she doesn't like coming to the office, because everytime she's here, she screams, cries, screams and cries non-stop until Amanda brings her home.
I think she maybe knows how stressful a reality/ workplace could be, hence that's the reason why she hates coming here so much!

It's interesting to observe how guinea pig can be quite smart sometimes. She really behaved herself the other day when I brought her in to my workplace. No noise making, no craving for food, no running here and there. Just quiet, very very quiet and never keep her eyes off me.

Ahh..I am so lazy to write anything, I apologize for not having daily post for project 365 ready. Now I can't catch up with the date! I am running behind schedule!
Anyway, we had a great dinner at Darra on Monday night with Haw and Yan.
Yummy yummy crab made me miss those delicious crab we had back home. Seriously, malaysian food are the best! *slurrrpppppp*

365 Day9
We were invited to a Hindu Puja praying ceremony this evening. From what I know, this worship with fire praying thing can by performed for a specific purpose or simply just as an act to pray for the family.
Basically, most of the praying ceremonies are likely the same, they serve the same purposes, have families and friends gathered, praying for a better and freer mind, etc etc.
So we were there, sitting quietly, listening, and paying attentions when priest was reciting mantras. I could feel the relaxation flowing out of me. It was quite soothing actually. Even though the smoke of the fire were quite choking. *ahem*.....*cough cough*
There is another thing worth mentioning. Kava, is all cases, it is a ceremonial drink where they drink during ceremony like this.
It's made from root of a special tree which I don't know what it is called, it's something like a herbal drink for Fijian and apparently it's good for the body.
It doesn't taste very bad because it is almost tasteless. But it will make your tongue goes numb and that is a very interesting feeling. Eventually your body will feel relaxed, as it helps to lighten up the muscles or something like that. Very interesting hey.

Nari, you poor little thing.
I wanted to blog about this when I saw the news few days ago.
Nari, the dolphin that I hand fed few months ago at Tangalooma Resort (Moreton Island) had a shark attack which leave him a massive bite and deep wounds across his head and back.Ouchhh! He didn't returned to his nightly feed in Moreton Island after that, and people thought he may have died from his injuries. :(
Until 2 nights ago, he returned back to his regular feeding spot and was taken to Sea World for surgery.
He's expected to make a full recovery after surgery.
I hope he is recovering fast.

So basically, this what I do everyday when I get back from work. To cook dinner and to pack bento for next day's lunch. I try to keep it as a daily task, but if I ever feel lazy or anything like that, I would skip cooking easily lol. But I am still a good girl. I cook regularly and have enough fruits intake everyday!
What a healthy life!
p/s: ma, I miss those homemade fruit vinegars/ wine you made!!!

And they went holidaying without me at this beautiful luxury Cameron Highlands Resort. boo hoo T____________T
Everything is so pretty, the people *of course* the flowers, the room, the restaurant, the food.
And there is this huge, beautiful library which doesn't look like a library to me at all.
And they went for spa as well!!!!! with tea leaves!!! hm....I suppose they bathed with tea leaves?? *hehe*
Anyway, this place is so gorgeous! Maybe I can have my wedding dinner here! LOL

I am on project 365!

When I first read it, I thought this sounded just like me, something that I would do. :)) So I thought, hey why not? This could be my lifelong assignment.
So here we go. Project 365 - Day 1
Just a random outing on a busy Friday night. And we ended up driving around in the city, so called "sightseeing" while we couldn't get a free offstreet car space. lol
We went dinner and movie instead.
He is just not that into you was not really as fun/good as I've imagined. But it sorta made my night.

A thousand splendid suns
Over and over again, I held my breath, I closed my eyes, imagined what life would be, living as a woman, under her burqa, under the restriction of Taliban, in Aghanistan.
I realise how fortunate I am. (I've always been fortunate and lucky, but after reading this, I felt even more grateful!)
As I am writing this, my heart aches.
This tale portraits how women endure the brutality and violence from their husbands, how they endure life where neither education, nor school were made available for them, how they endure forced marriages when they were really young. The story continues to show how love and friendship grow between Mariam and Laila, and how they struggle against starvation, fear, war, the loss of loved ones.
Everytime I open the book from where I stopped the day before, I was so eager to know what had happened to Mariam Jo and Laila in their devastating life in Aghanistan.
Everything about it, is so overwhelming.
