Dinner "K" night
I am so crazy about karaoke. Always a big fan of singing ! Lalalalallaal~~ On Tuesday night, it was the final day of Jeremy's examination. In order to congratulate him from finishing his master studies, we decided to have a 4 hours singing session.
By the end of the night, all of us nearly lose our voice!! *AheemmmAHemmmm*

Movie Freak.
A good Year - "Synopsis: London-based Investment expert Max Skinner moves to Provence to tend a small vineyard he inherited from his late uncle. Max reluctantly settles into what ultimately becomes an intoxicating new chapter in his life, as he comes to realize that life is meant to be savored. "
Based on the best selling novel by Peter Mayle, this is quite a romantic comedy to watch. However, I don't think there was any highlight worth mentioning, it was just a common-sweet-romantic comedy.
But there is another movie I watched recently, "The Prestige". It was absolutely fabulous! This drama + thriller like movie seriously caught my heart all the way from the start until the end of the movie.
The story goes like this.........." At at time when magicians are idols and celebrities of the highest order, two young magicians set out to carve their own paths to fame. They start out as admiring friends, but when their biggest trick goes terribly awry, they become enemies for life........"
There were so many twists and turns in the movie! Especially when the movie was jumping from different scene to scene, I started to stone awhile then "Ahhh"" realised they were talking about the past, or the present...
I would say, the story is a true stunning, brilliant magic to hold the audience's hearts , and you will never know the answer until end of the show...
Watch carefully! Don't miss out the magic show!!
I love it!! Highly recommended!

A beautiful day out
Had an extremely wonderful day out with ShanShan, it was surprisingly super duper windy and breezy! But thanks to the big shiny sun that helps to offer me some warmth. Weather has been very weird lately, hailstorm in Queensland just a day ago. I even heard Melbourne was having a snowfall. What! It is supposed to be hot and warm as summer is just around the corner.
Back to the day touring fun, I woke up early and quickily headed off to the city to get some birthday cards as I was supposed to meet Shan at 10am.
Photosnapping is one of the main reason of this day tour as she wishes to bring back some beautiful scenery photo of Brisbane *or maybe me* to her hometown in China. Without doubt, she thought of me as she knows I love photo taking. ^^
We started off at the city and was able to snap some photo of the big giant christmas tree before we ride on the bus to University of Queensland. (my future University)
I've been to UQ for sports few times, but I have never been to every corner of the Uni. Thanks to Shanshan, *She is a master student of accounting in UQ, just about to graduate* she brought me around and showed me places she thought might be useful for me in the future in case I need them, as I probably won't be here for the orientation week before semester commences.
Roughly, we spent about 3 hours walking around the school, sight seeing, photo snapping, chit-chatting, laughing, enjoying the companion of ducks, dragonflies, lizards, fishes.....
It was then my stomach started to complain, so we headed back to the city to get our lunch before the next destination - Southbank.
Southbank is always beautiful, and the artificial beach is truly a strong magnet dragging people to its soft beach and crystal clear water, especially in summer time.
And as we were walking side by side, I din't expect to find what I wanted to find long time ago! Remember I was telling you guys about the plaque I designed for Brisbane City Council, and they have made it a stone and have it displayed in Southbank! It is a stone to celebrate the relationship and sister city between Brisbane and Kaosiung, Taiwan.
Here it is! I was surprised! So we took quite a lot of photo around the plaque. People might think we are kinda weird, as there is nothing special about this stone. *hahaha* But hey, it mean something to me! ^^
Another few hours spent in Southbank, we decided to walk back to the city to visit one of the book shop to end the tour.
Can you imagine, we were walking since morning until late afternoon and I was bone tired by the time I got home. It was really a good way to burn my calories too! haha!

WestEnd Market.
Every Saturday, you will find groups of family gathering at West End Green Flea Market from early morning 6am until 2pm in the afternoon. It is a massive fruit and vegetable market including organix foods, plants, herbs, flowers...and so on.
Not only it is famous with the fresh food markets, but also with the different breakfast ranges from French, Hungarian, Indian, Asian, Australian....
Last Saturday, we woke up early and decided to have our breakfast there.
I was fond by this organic sugar cane juice. It was superbly sweet and nice!
Love the curry puff one of the asian stall selling in the market. Extremely delicious!
Definitely worth going! Real cheap!

- Vision 2006 -
Thanks to Sharon, we were invited to Queensland College of Art Design Students End-Of-Year Exhibition on Tuesday night. It was such an amazing feeling for me as it reminds me back to my final year in Curtin University. Bring back many pleasant memories from the past.......
Frankly, some of the design works of this exhibition really amazed me, it was pretty well done overall! From brainstorming, to design sketches, to finalize concept....I can see these hardworks were all being taken care of.
Plus, this is also truly a career open oppourtunity for students by showcasing the high level of the design skills to outsider. By giving out their own individually printed name card is another good strategy too!

Second shooting day.
On the second shooting day, the location's still somewhere around Gold Coast but the different is this place is actually on an island. Paradise island I should say. All the houses are massive!!!! Huge!!! castle-like!!!! And at the back of every house is attached to a small jetty that connects the residents to their own boat!!! How cool is that!!! It really does look like a real paradise to me! Unbelivable!!!!!
At the left hand side are some of the photo I took, as I was sitting inside the car, so I din't really have the chance to snap the back side of the houses. Even though when we reached the shooting location, I was too busy to wait for my make up done. So I missed the chance of going to the back side (a beautiful swimming pool facing at the big ocean ) to watch the kids doing their shooting.
Afterwards, it was our turn. We were being asked to act as we were very relaxing and enjoying at the bar near the balcony. To tell you the truth, I wasn't relaxing at all! The sun was nearly burn my back. It was hot! hot! hot!!! You know how hard it was. But thanks to the make up artist, whenever the director said 'CUT' she quickily came to me with an umbrella and a small fan just to cool me down. And also to check my make up. So nice of her!
But it wasn't too bad afterall. We only took about half an hour to finishi up this scene. Pretty succesful! =D
Making a short advertisement like this had really open my eyes! Too many things have to be done. You could see huge trucks containing all the equipments and gears arrived one by one, professional workers helped to remove the equipments from the trucks, setting up the scene, adding up some human-made effect...blablablaa...while the make up artist and art director were busy making sure we all look good with the desired style by the director, crews were then checking up if the colour of our make up + clothings + accessories + shoes match with the whole background scene....blablablaa....
Mind you, even a small piece of my jewellry was carefully chosen by the art director. Let alone the chosen AUD500+ skirt I wore that day. So expensive!!!
After all, I really enjoyed it and it was an unforgettable experience for me. Now I will just wait for the producer to send us the outcome of the advertisement!

*my first HongKong Commercial Ad shooting*
I am back from shooting! It was amazingly fun but tiring! After the first day shooting, I had to sleep 10 full hours in order to regain my energy for second day shooting. *body aching*
Now I finally have the mood to tell the whole story.
For those who have been my loyal blog reader from the past would most probably know how we got ourselves into this commercial advertisement thingy.
But for those who still has no clue at all, here is the story briefing. (or you may want to read from the past > March 2006
We (me and danny) were having our dinner in Mcdonald after our gym session, then this HongKong producer, Man Wong, who just reached Brisbane from HongKong came to approach us and ask if we were interested in shooting the commercial advertisement for them.
A moment later, we were being informed about the casting date and details, so, we gave it a try and we've got in.
This project was actually being postponed until a few months later. The production company has finally confirmed the shooting date with us which is on the 6th and 7th November in Gold Coast.

So back to the shooting day.... [ .Day one. ]
We arrived at 11.30 am at one of the beautiful high class apartment in Broachbeach, Gold Coast. First we were all given the chosen kick boxing costume and gear to wear, and then waiting one by one for our make up to be done by professional make up artist.
While we were waiting, the actual thai boxing trainer came and train us some basic important skills to make us look cool and steady on scene.
I was so nervous until I did not give real punch to Danny which looks very unnatural!! So after a few rehearsals, I had no choose but to really punch him. Fortunately he is strong enough to receive my punches. *blek* =p
It was really not an easy task especially when one of the part we were being told to act is to actually face the camera and imagine that is our opponent. There were a few cameras around, so we had to know which camera we were facing and listened to the assistant director's instruction when to give out our punches and duck when we being hit by the opponent. (have to use our imagination on our face expression also with our body movement)
Awwww.....I was actually being hit by one of the trainer many times as well. *as required by the director* wuwu~ But luckily we were all wearing our boxing gear and it was not painful at all!
So can you imagine, it was a very tiring scene to shoot. We played non-stop for the whole afternoon and I was really sweating like hell *despite the fake sweat look I had earlier on from the make up, my real sweats were really mixing everything up including the face make up!!!*
The funniest part was when I accidentally hit real hard on Danny, everybody clapped their hands. *Hahaa* Good job! good job! That's it!! *
All in all, it was unexpectedly fun. I guess my tense level went down alot while shooting with a group of crew and actors. Unlike the casting moment when we had to face the camera and act by yourself. It was the hardest part for me!

Wardrobe Fitting
One fun thing about this wardrobe fitting is I get to try on and wear many sets of pretty pretty branded clothings! Beautiful expensive exquisite elegant marvelous!!!
But hey, because of my nervourness, I guarantee you, I don't look good at all! =(

James St. Market.
I never realise there is this fresh market nearby my place. We were going for a short drink after that amazing human body thingy to cool our body temperature down, due to the hot weather!
So we drove past James St., a famous street around the neighbourhood. Here is the place you could find exquisite delicate shops range from "Made in Japan, Ipod store, Kisses on and so on. Not only these, but you can also dine in in one of the elegant pub, cafe, or restaurant here.
So we went into the James St. Market and got ourselves some cold mango sorbet. *Hmmppphhh*
The markets include fresh fish markets, a quality fruiterer, florist, bakery, ice creamery, and some upmarket homewares store. *Very pricy!*
But it is indeed a nice, fashionable place to go!

A day out with Charlene
I think fate brought us together. I've first known this lady was in a company named NitesMedia. We were both recruited to work under the design team to help to produce an entertainment magazine in Brisbane. We were the only two asian working there, and coincidentally we were both successfully got ourselves a second interview at Bridge U&I during our job searching period.
It was just unexpected.
Anyway, we went out yesterday for a quick lunch since she happened to be in the city for the Photoshop Seminar. It was a good catch up since we last came out few months ago!
There are some similarities between me and her. We are both multimedia designer, and she is now taking marketing courses as she wants to enhance her marketing skills other than designing skill.
We both felt the same. Having the chance to learn some business skill is always helpful and useful for our future.

One Fine Day>
After the long awaited HK commercial advertisement, the Cinetech Production Group has finally decided the wardrobe fitting and shooting date which is just around the corner!
I am so nervous!!!!
I can't act and I will be camera shy in front of so many people!
Help!!!!!
But most importantly is I know I am gonna have so much fun!!! But in order to make the day smoothly, as in not causing troubles to the production team, I will then have to practise the acting at home first since I've got the story board from Cinetech.

My farewell lunch~
I have to admit, it has been a good working experience with Bridge. There were ups and downs for sure, but I've earned myself some good friendships and walked away with simply priceless working experience for myself. These are the most valuable pay for me!
It was hard at first to decide to leave the company as there were too many thoughts running in and out of my brain. I guess sometimes things were just gradually getting complicated until a certain point that eventually brings no help at all during my decision making period.
Then and there, bang! I've made my decision to leave my current learning level in an environment like this in order to pursue a higher degree of my studies.
Sadly, I had to say goodbye.
Expectantly, I am looking forward.
I am glad to be able to have a good ending like this. No matter what, I truly appreciate the supports and helps that have been given during this 13 months. :)
Thank you for providing such a massive learning space for me. Both good and bad way.
These are not describable in words.
Anyway keep up the good spirit!!
